Fernando was diagnosed with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition commonly affecting men as they age. Today, Fernando continues to pursue one of his many passions. Both him and his wife have a significant involvement in the world of ballet where their efforts are focused on promoting ballet education, and supporting young dancers through scholarship opportunities and competitions.
