In March 2018, Humber River Hospital Foundation launched an exciting new art auction program in partnership with Funding Innovation. Anyone can bid on a rotating variety of musical, sports-related, and traditional artwork and collectibles.

In one year the art easel program has raised $23,726.55 for Humber River Hospital Foundation.

We currently have 15 art easels:

• 10 easels are spread throughout the Hospital
• 5 easels are set up at local businesses

The art easels are projected to raise more $20,000 for Humber River Hospital Foundation every year.

Funding Innovation sets up the easels, and rotates the artwork every two weeks to keep the auction fresh. And, anyone can participate in the sealed-bid auction to win the piece… in fact, ten Humber River Hospital staff members have purchased artwork!

“Working with the team at Humber River Hospital Foundation has been terrific,” says Ron Gardner, the President of Funding Innovation. “We would love to find more small businesses within Humber’s catchment area to display easels. Each easel raises an average of $1,500 to $3,000 for the Hospital every year, and we take care of all of the logistics.”

To date, our most popular easels are the ones on the main floor: outside the Foundation Office, by the East Entrance, and by the West Entrance.

“It is so great to see our physicians, staff, volunteers, and community members bidding on the artwork!” says Saneh from the HRH Foundation team. “It’s a win-win: Not only can you bid and win beautiful artwork, you are making a difference for patients and families at Humber.”
