Family-Centered Care: Spaces for Visitors
At Humber River Hospital, we believe that the best patient care includes family care, which is why outside of our clinics and inpatient floors, there are many spaces where visitors can make themselves at home.
Food Court Restaurants, Cafés, and Shops
We are lucky to have several food options at Humber River Hospital. In the food court located on Level 0, you’ll find a Cultures, Pizzaville, Thai Express, Paramount Fine Foods, and a full-service Tim Hortons.
Our food court has vegan, vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free options.
There are also two coffee kiosks on Level 1, including another Tim Hortons location and a Lavazza.
On the main floor, near the central elevators, Humber River Hospital has both a Rexall Pharmacy and the Volunteer Association Gift Shop, where visitors can pick up flowers, cards, chocolates, stuffed toys, and other gifts.
The RBC Meeting Place on Level 0 is a friendly space to speak about your financial wellness and get caring advice and support through life-changing moments.
Green Spaces
During the warmer months, many visitors to the Hospital enjoy spending time in our outdoor spaces. The Healing Gardens near the Wilson entrance includes several benches surrounded by greenery, and visitors and staff often choose to eat lunch in the Piazza Team Revolution at the South Entrance of the Hospital.
Resource Centre
The Scotiabank Patient & Family Resource Centre on Level 0 offers medical and health information to patients and visitors. The Centre can help you understand more about an illness or general health, understand treatment options, and learn more about disease prevention. They also offer borrowing services.
Spiritual Centre
Humber River Hospital’s Spiritual Centre is located on the main floor across from the Central Elevators. This quiet space can be used for prayer and meditation, and is always open to patients, family members, and friends.
