In honour of National Women’s Health Week, join us for the launch of our exciting new program, Healthcare Lives with Women, at our breakfast kickoff event: De-Mystifying Women’s Health.
The morning will feature inspiring conversations dedicated to advancing women’s health at Humber River Health and beyond. Three leading Humber physicians will be on a panel discussing all things women’s health, moderated by the amazing Jennifer Valentyne.

As women navigate the transitions of midlife and aging, mental health often takes a backseat to physical health and family responsibilities. Join Dr. Kinneret Fleiman, psychiatrist at Humber River Health, and Medical Lead for the Mental Health Complex Care Division, for an engaging discussion on how emotional well-being evolves with age. This session will explore the unique mental health challenges faced by women in their 40s to 70s—including anxiety, depression, and sleep, changing roles and identity, and the impact of hormonal shifts. Dr. Fleiman will offer insights, practical coping strategies, and shed light on available treatments.

Join Dr. Neetika Sidana OBGYN and specialist in minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery, as she discusses the startlingly common gynaecologic issues facing women in their 40s into perimenopause and beyond. This session will focus on expanding awareness around fibroids, fertility, endometriosis and menopause. Learn practical strategies for navigating a healthcare system where women are often taught to normalize symptoms like pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. Insights regarding new and existing treatment strategies will be shared including guidance around seeking a diagnosis for issues like endometriosis and fibroids. Fertility through the ages will be explored and as more and more women are seeking delayed childbearing, learn what the real impact of age is on available options for expanding your family.
